They tried to warn the other vessel: Other vessel, divert your course 15 degrees.

The other vessel replied:  You need to divert your course 15 degrees to avoid a collision.

Back in Rochester, once on the way home from work, I asked Gaylene if anything interesting had happened at work that day.  She said well, she heard there was another floaties sighting.    
I said "What??
"Oh you didn’t hear of the bath floaties?"
