Some scientists were tracking Golden Winged Warblers in the Appalacian mountains. See a picture below.

What is interesting is that right after they finished their seasonal migration, they left!

Scientists were confused, until a series of storms swept through the area which lead to a tornado outbreak. Checking the geolocation trackers on the birds later, they flew a bit over 930 miles to get just South of the Tornado's path, then came straight home again.

This immediately brought to mind:

Psalm 50:11

I know every bird of the mountains,
And everything that moves in the field
is Mine.

Matthew 6:26a

Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.

These verses talk about how the birds are God's and He cares for them. In the case of the article, we see how smart God made the birds that they can spot a tornado and take action to avoid it, days in advance. Pretty amazing the abilities that God gave these birds.

Of course Matthew 6:26 goes on:

Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?

Psalm 91:1-4 says:

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust!”
For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper
And from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with His pinions,
And under His wings you may seek refuge;
His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.

Take some time to reflect on what God has done for all of us, including the sacrifice of his son.
