God Will Make A Way

A very popular movie and book right now is: Project Hail Mary. Unusual for Hollywood, there is no swearing and it is a clean movie.

The name comes not from a Biblical reference, but the sports term for a long-shot, in this case, a long shot for the survival of Earth.

The book’s author, Andy Weir, is agnostic, but he wrote a Christian character into his book (that sadly did not make it to the movie), and I love how he was portrayed.

1 Corinthians 10:13 NSRV

“No testing has overtaken you that is not common to everyone. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tested beyond your strength, but with the testing he will also provide the way out so that you may be able to endure it.”

This Christian character in the book, witnessed that even though the situation was not good, God provided the way out. This made me think back to the song: “God Will Make A Way” by Don Moen:

“And God will make a way

Where there seems to be no way

He works in ways we cannot see

He will make a way for me”

based on Isaiah 43:18-19 NSRV

“I am about to do a new thing;

now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?

I will make a way in the wilderness

and rivers in the desert.”

When things get difficult in our life, let’s remember, it may not be easy, but God will make a way for us.
