Viv’s Co-worker in Chile is having internet issues due to the torrential rains there. He found out a couple days ago, they got rain high up on mountains that only normally get snow… causing massive mud slides.
She was coming home from the vet soaked to the bone, with streets that were flooded, and only found out later she was only a few blocks away from where streets were getting filled in by mud. See the Video below:
The southern US is currently getting hit by storms: Isaias and Rachel.
But we all know our personal lives can be hit by the same storms. Our God is our refuge in the storms that are in our life's. Some storms are large and scary like the hurricanes in the south that are happening. Some are private storms inside that we do not know how to deal with so we need to remember that God is our refuge and a shelter and we can always count on him even when we think we can't he is there. No matter what.
Psalm 46:1 (NASB)
God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble.
Psalms 144:1b & 2A (NASB)
Blessed be the Lord, my rock,
My stronghold and my savior,
My shield and He in whom I take refuge,
Let us give strength that when the physical or personal storms of life hit, we know who to turn to anchor us.
