I have an interesting video for you today. The first two are from someone that was always blind talking with someone that lost her sight gradually in her 20’s,
Notice the always blind man said: “When I dream I don’t see anything, because my subconscious doesn’t know how to see, I don’t see in my dreams…”
This kind of leads you in to what some call Jesus’ double miracle:
Mark 8:22-25
And they *came to Bethsaida. And they *brought a blind man to Jesus and *implored Him to touch him. Taking the blind man by the hand, He brought him out of the village; and after spitting on his eyes and laying His hands on him, He asked him, “Do you see anything?” And he looked up and said, “I see men, for I see them like trees, walking around.” Then again He laid His hands on his eyes; and he looked intently and was restored, and began to see everything clearly.
Jesus first heals the man so he could see…. But he didn’t understand what he was seeing, he had trees confused with men…. He had never seen before, so his brain could not understand…
So Jesus next heals him so he can understand the new input he is receiving. Pretty Amazing!
The always blind man also says “To know what I was missing would really drive me crazy” This made me think of the following scripture:
1 Corinthians 2:9
but just as it is written, “Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard,
And which have not entered the heart of man,
All that God has prepared for those who love Him.”
Think about that. Just as the blind man doesn’t know what he is really missing with vision, we don’t know and can’t conceive what we are missing that God has prepared for us.
For a hint of that, I leave you with another video, about a man that gets a special pair of glasses that let him see color for the first time in his life…
Think about what it will be like the first time we see what God has prepared for us…
