"O LORD, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name; For You have worked wonders, Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness" Isaiah 25:1.

If Yahweh is not my God and your God, then little else matters. The same is certainly true of His Son, Jesus. It's not what we know ABOUT them that ultimately matters; it is that we know them personally. Jesus makes this abundantly clear in Matthew 7:21-23.

If He indeed is my God and your God through Christ, we have abundant reason to exalt Him and give thanks to His name. Although I was many years in ignorance of the God who has a name, I am glad that I know that He the great I AM, Yahweh. Out of respect for my earthly father, I called him my Dad rather than by his personal name, because that was our relationship. Similarly, Yahweh is my Father, and I delight to call Him my Father: "Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, 'Abba! Father!'”Galatians 4:6. He is our Daddy Father.

This God whom we know and are known by as Father has worked great wonders, and carried out plans "formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness." His plans are well understood through His covenants, of which there are seven key ones. Space doesn't allow us to go into detail here, but it is an encouraging study to consider these.

The important fact is that God has designed and executed His plans with "perfect faithfulness." None but our Father can make such a claim; all others to some degree have flawed faithfulness.

With perfect faithfulness our Father will bring about the culmination of His plan: "The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come ..." 2 Peter 3:9-10.

May we be faithful to the One whose perfect faithfulness will result in our full salvation at the return of Christ and the coming kingdom.
