"'I am the first and I am the last, And there is no God besides Me. 'Who is like Me? Let him proclaim and declare it' ... 'I, the LORD, am the maker of all things, Stretching out the heavens by Myself And spreading out the earth all alone' ... I am the LORD, and there is no other; Besides Me there is no God' ... 'I am the LORD, and there is none else' ... 'there is no other God besides Me, A righteous God and a Savior; There is none except Me' ... 'For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me'" Isaiah 44:6-7,24; 45:6,18,21;46:9.

Repetition reinforces. If we hear something often enough, we eventually remember. The advertising industry is well aware of this fact (think about that commercial that you can't get out of your head).

When we look at what our Father says about Himself in these three chapters in Isaiah, His point becomes abundantly clear: He alone is our Creator Father. He "bookends" everything as the ultimate first and last. He is not one of a "God family," or a compound entity. He alone has made it all; Yahweh and Yahweh alone.

The intent behind why our Father reveals these facts about Himself is at least as important as the facts themselves. We have a Father who is passionate in His desire that we know Him. Consider the many instances recorded in Scripture where He initiates contact and relationship with individuals. The truth is undeniable: our Father is proactive in His efforts to reveal Himself to us.

The scientific community has invested considerable time and vast financial resources in looking for intelligent life in the universe. The irony of these efforts is that the search for the ultimate intelligent life is vastly disproportionate.

Our Father is tirelessly reaching out to each of us, desiring that we know Him personally and experimentally
