Encouragement
They are three vitally important verses:
"Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord; and that He may send Jesus, the Christ appointed for you, whom heaven must receive until the period of restoration of all things about which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient time." (Acts 3.19-21)

Torn between two worlds. Such is the dilemma of kingdom citizens.
"Jesus presented another parable to them, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed wheat tares among the wheat, and went away. But when the wheat sprouted and bore grain, then the tares became evident also.' " (Matthew 13.24-26)

Does anybody really know what time it is? Does anybody really care? If you're a fan of 70s rock music you'll recognize those lyrics right away. They raise questions that are aptly answered in Ecclesiastes 3 -
"There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven" (Ecclesiastes 3.1).

We are known by our words. They reveal what's on our mind and in our hearts. They reveal whether we are self-centered or other-centered, humble or proud, honest or dishonest, gentle or harsh. As such, it's said that we ought to "weigh our words," but better still, we ought to weigh our thoughts that give rise to our words.

To state that the nations are in an uproar is an understatement. At the time of this writing, there are numerous hotspots where uprisings and threats could easily spill beyond national borders to become international threats. But, this is nothing new. As long as there have been nations, there has been uproar. The big question is, WHY?

Wait often feels more like weight. Time weighs heavy when we try to patiently wait. Honestly, haven't we at times wondered why God doesn't work faster? The apostle Peter addressed that issue in stating, "The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness" (2 Peter 3.9). Some count God slow according to their own reasoning. Wait is a weight.
